Story of Gampo in King's Throne

"Gampo, the 33rd ruler of his great kingdom, was said to have spent several years in meditation just before ascending to the throne at the tender age of 13. He observed, in this deep trance-like state, how meditation and uplifting the culture of the people would help the kingdom flourish and achieve a level of greatness they could never have even dreamed of. He gave himself completely to the realization of this vision during his rule. Strong allies and diplomacy would be necessary for him to further the kingdom's reach, but because he was unsure of his ability to trust the bordering civilizations, he asked them to send a representative in order to establish their mutual trust and cooperation. They agreed and sent their best negotiator, Gyasa."
