Story of Betty & Abby in King's Throne
"Betty and Abby are cousins from a strict family and town with puritanical traditions. As children, they were caught dancing in the forest with their caregiver, Tituba. To avoid trouble, they pretended to be victims of Tituba’s witchcraft, and she, along with others, was sentenced to be executed by Betty's father. Years later, Betty now desires freedom and Abby still fawns over Proctor, a respected farmer and community elder. One day, they followed him to the woods as they noticed a single file of black-robed people. They had left some robes behind, which they grabbed to disguise themselves and sneak in. As they did, they came upon a large coven of witchy women chanting around a fire and, shockingly, Proctor leading the ceremony. He spoke of Tituba's tragedy until the cousins, racked with guilt, suddenly revealed themselves and begged to be forgiven for their sins committed as silly youths."
